Nordindien, China, Himalaya, monsoonarea.
This plant needs in summer more water than in winter. After growing the new bulbs keep cooler and dryer but dont let the young shoots shrink. If this does not happen they might not bloom and they grow new young shoots instead of flowers. These plants can easily be grown in cooler bedroms. They are adecuate foor beginners.
Flower:
About 3 cm hight on small panicles at the end of a new shoot.
